Seville is one of those fairy-tale like places that from when the moment you arrive, you can't help but fall in love with all the bright, colorful, and Spanish style charm. The city is full of life, night and day, and Andalucia is at the very heart of it all! I had only ever heard great things about this city, and I was so excited to finally be able to experience it for myself! There was literally so much to see and do, and trying to accomplish it all within such a short amount of time was very exhausting! Summertime in Spain, or really any Southern European country for that matter, not only brings out some of the hottest days of the year, but also crowds upon crowds of tourists. In order to avoid the long lines, sun-blazing heat, and plethora of people, my advice would be to start your day EARLY. It's relatively easy to do, especially since the sun rise starts at around 4:00 a.m. in the morning during the summer months. Below I will provide a brief outline on the highlights of Seville that I experienced including accommodations, where to eat, and places to visit. ACCOMODATION IN sevilleHOTEL AMADEUS Location: Calle Farnesio, 6, 41004 Sevilla, Spain Cost: 1 room starts at $120 per night Hours: 24/7 reception available Website: http://www.hotelamadeussevilla.com top PLACES TO EAT in sevilleIf there was one thing that surprised me most about Seville, it was the food. The previous cities I had visited (Cartagena & Granada) were literally like ghost towns during certain hours of the day - mostly between 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. - which is considered 'standard dinner' time for most Americans. So, I have to admit I was pleasantly surprised when I came across a plethora of eateries that were open during all hours of the day. Most people come to Seville expecting to eat an abundance of tapas, take full advantage of the siestas, and enjoy one of the many creative handcrafted cocktails at a local gastronomy. However, given the endless options for food, sometimes it can become a bit overwhelming trying to figure out where to eat! Below I will provide a list of some of the top rated eateries in Seville (both from which I ate at and that come highly recommended from other people): - RUBICON GREEN BAR -LA CACHARRERIA -BAR ALFALFA -LA ISLA -BAR COMERCIO -CONTENEDOR -LA BRUNILDA -EL RINCONCILLO -LAS GOLONDRINAS tOP things to do and see in seville*Indulge in the beauty of the Cathedral De Sevilla & Giralda Tower. *Walk around Parque De Maria Luisa. *Explore the fashion and art stores around the Museo de Bellas Artes. *Wander around the charming streets of Santa Cruz. *Catch a sunset cruise along the river next to the Torre del Oro. *Take in the fabulous architecture at Casa de Pilatos. *Watch a traditional Flamenco show at La Casa Del Flamenco. *Visit the spectacular views of Royal Alcázar of Seville.
